Today's guest, Debbie Millman is an accomplished figure and leader in the design world. She is an author, educator, curator, and the host of the podcast Design Matters, one of the world’s first and longest-running podcasts. Debbie is the author of six books, ”How to Think Like a Great Graphic Designer” and “Brand Thinking and Other Noble Pursuits.” She also co-founded the world’s first graduate program in branding at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
In this episode, we’ll tackle the different facets of Debbie’s road to success, including growing up in an abusive home and her experiments in rejection and failure. She’ll talk to us about not finding a sense of accomplishment until she was in her 40s, and how imagination ultimately saved her.
