Speaking truth in love.

Following Jesus is not a matter of joining Him in things that amuse us; it is a full-on sacrifice of our dreams, aspirations, entertainments to whatever His plans are for us (and those two may be different things). He was very clear that following Him is a sacrificial life.

To receive the benefits of His Domain we must ‘hear’ and ‘obey’. To become part of God’s family means to live according to His Word

Jesus sees that we hurt (whether from loss in death, being sinned against, etc.) and He feels the pain we suffer. Though He may not rescue us now from every pain in our fallen world, He is able and desirous to heal our emotional suffering now. And He will come again and right all that is wrong in the world. We must trust His promise and timing.

Jesus eagerly reaches out to marginalized people who, without fully-informed faith, humbly call on him for help in their time of need.
