God’s plan from the beginning was to invite the Gentiles to join the Jews in worshipping Jesus. Some of those Gentiles were the Magi/wisemen who came to seek the King and they were lavish in their worship and giving to the King.

We are called to join God in His work among the marginalized people of society, the ‘shadow people’ who are poor and powerless and often voiceless. In the Christmas story of the shepherds God announces His great in-breaking to these marginalized ones, provided a model for us to follow Him in ministering among the shadow people of our day.

We can trust God because He controls world events to accomplish His purposes—even using His enemies to protect His Son from harm. As He called his people, and His Son, out of the darkness of Egypt, He calls each of us from darkness into light.

Christ’s mission is to explode reconciliation and its consequent healing, life, sanity, purpose, love, and liberty not just into the lives of faithful insiders but, most essentially, into the lives of seeking individuals culled from different-tribed, different-looking, different-thinking people around the world.

Despite what current culture might tell us, our lives are not random. We have stepped into God’s ongoing Story, and our lives matter. We are never alone, as Jesus has promised to be with us as we live out the adventure He has given us.

Healthy churches have babies. Church planting is in Hope Chapel’s DNA and it’s time to begin thinking about planting new churches again.

We make disciples out of the example we live, growing toward maturity in our own discipleship. In the Gospel of John, Jesus discusses three marks of a disciple.

You are uniquely located in a place in God’s kingdom that no one else is ever going to be. Then offer the world around you what they need most, Jesus. Do not love people in order to evangelize them, evangelize them because you love them.

God’s great plan of redemption begins with Abraham. God awakens him from cultural slumber to receive the blessing of covenant relationship with God Himself, and to pass that blessing on to all of humanity through his descendants.
