Dissatisfaction with the Government's negligence in relation to bonus payments.
Míshásamh faoi neamart an Rialtais i leith íocaíochtaí bónais.
Health organizations have criticized the Government for the delay in bonus payments promised to health workers who were on duty during the Covid Crisis.
Tá an Rialtas cáinte ag eagraíochtaí sláinte faoin moill atá le híocaíochtaí bónais atá geallta d'oibrithe sláinte a bhí ar dualgas le linn Ghéarchéim an Chovid.
The Irish Nursing Homes Association says the way the Government is treating the staff who were promised payment for the work they did during the pandemic is a shame.
Deir Cumann Thithe Altranais na hÉireann gur mór an náire an bealach a bhfuil an Rialtas ag caitheamh leis an meitheal foirne ar gealladh íocaíocht dóibh as an obair a rinne siad i rith na paindéime.
8 months ago the Government announced that health workers who were working on the front line would receive a recognition payment for as long as the outbreak lasted.
8 mí ó shin d’fhógair an Rialtas go mbeadh íocaíocht aitheantais le fáil ag oibrithe sláinte a bhí ag obair ar an líne-tosaigh an fhad is a mhair an oll-ráig.
But the Nursing Homes Association and the Irish Alliance of Healthcare Assistants say many have not received the bonus payment fraudulently.
Ach deir Cumann na dTithe Altranais agus Comhghuaillíocht Chúntóiri Cúraim Sláinte na hÉireann go bhfuil go leor nach bhfuil an íocaíocht bhónáis fáighte acu go foill.
In a statement from the Nursing Homes Association they say that it is a great shame that the Government is now saying that a tender process must be undertaken.
I ráiteas ó Chumann na dTithe Altranais deir siad gur mór an náire é gur anois atá an Rialtas ag rá go gcaithfear tabhairt faoi phróiseas tairisceana.
The statement said that it is an insult to the workers in private nursing homes and voluntary homes who have given so much support to the community during the pandemic that the payment they say they deserve has been delayed.
Dúradh sa ráiteas gur masla atá ann do na hoibrithe in árais altranais phríobháideacha agus árais dheonacha a thug an oiread tacaíochta don phobal le linn na pandéime go bhfuil moill curtha ar an íocaíocht a deir siad atá tuillte acu.
Phil Ní Sheaghdha from the Irish Nurses and Aid Women's Association tells the Newsroom that the association is in contact with the Department of Health to make it easier for them to provide the allowance tax-free.
Deir Phil Ní Sheaghdha ó Chumann Altraí agus Ban Cabhrach na hÉireann le Seomra na Nuachta go bhfuil an cumann i dteagmháil leis an Roinn Sláinte chun go mbeadh sé nios fusa dóibh an liúntas a chuir ar fáil saor ó cháin.
Phil Ní Sheaghdha said that they have been told that the Department is now looking for a private company to ensure that the allowance is paid to those who deserve it.
Dúirt Phil Ní Sheaghdha go bhfuil sé ráite leo go bhfuil an Roinn anois ag lorg comhlacht príobháideach le cinntiú go n-íocfar an liúntas leis an dream a bhfuil sé tuillte acu.
The department says they will have it before Christmas.
Deir an Roinn go mbeidh sé acu roimh an Nollaig.
"We think they should have done it at the beginning of the Summer but now we are telling them they have to do it as quickly as they can."
"Is dóigh linne gur cheart go mbeadh sé déanta acu tús an tSamhraidh ach anois tá muid ag rá leo go gcaithfidh siad é a dhéanamh chomh tapa agus is féidir leo."
In a statement this evening the Department of Health says that most of the people entitled to it have received the payment.
I ráiteas tráthnóna deir an Roinn Sláinte go bhfuil an íocaíocht fáighte ag formhór na ndaoine atá ina theideal....
