The value of fines imposed on drivers for certain offenses is to double from midnight tonight.
Tá luach na bhfíneálacha a ghearrtar ar thiománaithe faoi chionta áirithe le dúbailt ó mheán oíche anocht.
The change applies to sixteen different offences.

It has been confirmed that people who drive too fast will now be charged €160, instead of the €80 that was there until now.
