Never before have we faced so many existential crises, yet never before has the GOP betrayed us so broadly and deeply. I review all the ways the GOP members of Congress subverted our agenda, including today’s perfidy on the defense bill and FISA reauthorization. We’re joined by Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.), a conservative superstar who was just elected the next chair of the Freedom Caucus. He lays out his vision for moving the party to the right and engaging in primaries to bolster our numbers. He makes it clear that the central problem is that Republicans fear any discomfort, disruption, or government shutdown above all else. They believe politics is an outcome as an end to itself before they even accomplish anything. We discuss different ways to take the Freedom Caucus to the next level to make 2024 a better year.
