RTÉ has announced that broadcaster Ryan Tubridy is to step down as presenter of the Late Late Show at the end of the current season.

The Tipperary has been presenting the Late Late since 2009 and said today that it was a great honor for him.

He thanked all the staff – including producers, researchers, crew and executives – who did the hard work, as he said, to keep the show going throughout the years.

In a statement, RTÉ Director-in-Chief Dee Forbes paid tribute to Ryan Tubridy.
