Two weeks until the need for masks in the hospital ends.
Coicís go mbeidh deireadh le riachtanas maisc san ospidéal.
It is planned within two weeks to end the need to wear a mask when a person is in hospital. The need has been there since the health restrictions were introduced when the spread of the corona virus was worst.
Tá sé beartaithe faoi cheann coicíse deireadh a chur leis an riachtanas atá ann masc a chaitheamh agus duine san ospidéal Tá an riachtanas ann ó tugadh faoi na srianta sláinte nuair ba mheasa scaipeadh an víreas corónaigh.
The decision to remove the requirement is in the latest Directive from the Health Protection Watch Center which will come into force on 19th April.
Tá an cinneadh fáil réidh leis an riachtanas san Treoir is deireanaí ón Lárionad Faire um Chosaint Sláinte a bheidh ag teacht i bhfeidhm an 19ú Aibreán.
From that day on, the Center says "with the exception of periods when the illness would spread strongly among the community" there will be no more need for health teams, patients, or visitors to wear a mask in hospitals and in other health care centers.
Ón lá sin ar aghaidh a deir an Lárionad "cé is moite de thréimhsí a mbeadh an tinneas ag scaipeadh go tréan i measc an phobail" ní bheidh riachtanas níos mó ar mheitheal sláinte, ar othair, ná ar chuairteoirí masc a chaitheamh in ospidéil agus in ionaid eile cúram sláinte.
It is still recommended to wear a mask under certain circumstances.
Táthar fós ag moladh masc a chaitheamh faoi chúinsí ar leith.
A health group says the Center "should at least wear a mask when caring for patients with symptoms of a respiratory virus."
Ba chóir do mheitheal sláinte a deir an Lárionad "ar a laghad, masc a chaitheamh i mbun cúraim ar othair a bhfuil comharthaí sóirt víreas riospráide orthu."
It is also recommended that masks be available for patients on wards where there are other patients with these symptoms.
Moltar freisin go mbeadh mascanna ar fáil d'othair ar bhardaí ar a bhfuil othair eile a bhfuil na comharthaí sóirt sin orthu.
The same Directive will be applied in the homes for the elderly.
Beidh an Treoir chéanna le cur i bhfeidhm sna h-árais do dhaoine aosta.
The Center says there are still challenges in taming the virus but they say things have improved a lot thanks to the health restrictions and vaccination.
Deir an Lárionad go bhfuil dúshláin fós ag baint leis an víreas a cheansú ach deir siad go bhfuil cúrsaí feabhsaithe go mór a bhuíochas do na srianta sláinte agus don vacsaíniú.
