Bodies found innocent in plane crash.
Comhlachtaí faighte neamhchiontach maidir le tubaiste eitleáin.
In a criminal court in France, the airplane manufacturing company Airbus and the airline Air France were found not guilty of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the plane disaster in 2009 in which 228 people were killed, including three Irish people.
I gcúirt choiriúil sa Fhrainc, fuarthas an comhlacht déantúsaíochta eitleán Airbus agus an aerlíne Air France neamhchiontach i ndúnorgain neamhdheonach i dtaca le tubaiste eitleáin in 2009 inar maraíodh 228 duine, triúr Éireannach ina measc.
The A330 crashed in the Atlantic Ocean on its way to Paris from Rio de Janeiro on 1 June 2009.
Thuairt an t-eitleán A330 san Aigéan Atlantach agus í ar a bealach go Páras as Rio de Janeiro ar an 1 Meitheamh 2009.
Everyone on board the plane was killed, including three young doctors from Ireland.
Maraíodh gach uile dhuine a bhí ar bord an eitleáin, triúr dochtúirí óga as Éirinn ina measc.
They were Aisling Butler, 26, from Roscre, Co Tipperary; Jane Deasy, 27, from Dublin; and Eithne Walls, 28, from Belfast.
B'in iad Aisling Butler, 26 bliain, as Ros Cré, Co Thiobraid Árann; Jane Deasy, 27 bliain, as Baile Átha Cliath; agus Eithne Walls, 28 bliain, as Béal Feirste.
The plane's recorders were not found for two years after the disaster and in 2012 aviation investigators concluded that the cause was pilot error.
Ní bhfuarthas taifeadáin an eitleáin go ceann dhá bhliain i ndiaidh na tubaiste agus in 2012 chinn imscrúdaitheoirí eitlíochta gur earráidí a rinne na píolótaí ba chúis leis.
The pilots were said to have been diverted due to a fault in the speed monitoring equipment.
Dúradh gur cuireadh na píolótaí dá dtreoir mar gheall ar fhabht a bhí sa trealamh monatóireachta luais.
No body has ever before been tried in France for involuntary manslaughter.
Níor cuireadh comhlacht ar bith ar a thriail riamh roimhe seo sa Fhrainc faoi dhúnorgain neamhdheonach.
However, the court ruled that it could not be proven that Airbus or Air France were to blame for the disaster.
Rialaigh an chúirt, áfach, nach bhféadfaí a chruthú gur ar Airbus ná ar Air France a bhí an milleán faoin tubaiste.
The court accepted that there was negligence but that this did not amount to absolute responsibility.
Ghlac an chúirt leis go raibh faillí i gceist ach nárbh ionann sin agus freagracht gan agó.
A probable causal link is not enough to prove an offence, the judge said.
Ní leor nasc cúisíoch dóchúil le cion a chruthú, a dúirt an breitheamh.
Both companies pleaded not guilty to the charge, the most severe penalty that could be imposed on them was a fine of €225,000.
Phléadáil an dá chomhlacht neamhchiontach sa chúis, arbh é fíneáil €225,000 an pionós ba dhéine a d'fhéadfaí a ghearradh orthu faoi.
