Met Éireann has issued a red storm warning for six counties in the west and north-west of the country and Kilmanton.
Tá foláireamh dearg stoirme fógartha ag Met Éireann i sé chontae in iarthar agus in iarthuaisceart na tíre agus i gCill Mhantáin.
The six counties in question are Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Galway and Clare, where there will be strong winds for several hours tonight and tomorrow morning.
Is iad na sé chontae atá i gceist Dún na nGall, Liatroim, Sligeach, Maigh Eo, Gaillimh agus an Clár, áit a mbeidh stolladh mór gaoithe ar feadh roinnt uaireanta an chloig anocht agus ar maidin amárach.
The red warning will apply in those places between 10 o'clock tonight and 3 o'clock tomorrow morning and the meteorologists say that there will be a speed of 145 kilometers per hour under the wind at times.
Beidh feidhm leis an bhfoláireamh dearg sna háiteanna sin idir 10 a chlog anocht agus 3 a chlog ar maidin amárach agus deir na meitéareolaithe go mbeidh luas 145 ciliméadar san uair faoin ngaoth in amanna.
