Israel has withdrawn from a road that split Gaza in two.

The Israeli army has withdrawn its soldiers from a road that was cutting the Gaza Strip in two, a Hamas official says.

According to a senior Hamas spokesman, the Israeli army was to have withdrawn from the Netzarim area according to the terms of the agreement reached on January 19.
