Police have decided not to remove a bonfire.

Police in the North have decided not to help contractors dismantle a bonfire in south Belfast as requested by the City Council.

Tá sé socraithe ag na póilíní sa Tuaisceart gan cabhrú le conraitheoirí tine chnámh i ndeisceart Bhéal Feirste a bhaint ó chéile mar a bhí iarrtha orthu ag an gComhairle Cathrach.

In a statement, the police said they made the decision not to implement the City Council's request because they ultimately believe it is safe to do so, when all aspects of the situation are taken into account.
