Police have decided not to remove a bonfire.
Cinneadh déanta ag póilíní gan tine chnámh a bhaint ó chéile.
Police in the North have decided not to help contractors dismantle a bonfire in south Belfast as requested by the City Council.
Tá sé socraithe ag na póilíní sa Tuaisceart gan cabhrú le conraitheoirí tine chnámh i ndeisceart Bhéal Feirste a bhaint ó chéile mar a bhí iarrtha orthu ag an gComhairle Cathrach.
In a statement, the police said they made the decision not to implement the City Council’s request because they ultimately believe it is safe to do so, when all aspects of the situation are taken into account.
I ráiteas, dúirt na póilíní go ndearna siad an cinneadh gan iarratas na Comhairle Cathrach a chur i ngníomh mar gur sábháilte sin ar deireadh, dar leo, nuair a chuirtear gach taobh den scéal san áireamh.
The loyalists are with the bonfire on Meridi Street which will be lit tomorrow night as part of the annual Orange festival.
Tá na dílseoirí leis an tine chnámh ar Shráid Meridi a lasadh oíche amárach mar chuid d’fhéile bhliantúil na nOráisteach.
However, the bonfire has hit an electrical substation, which the Royal Victoria Hospital and Belfast City Hospital rely on, and there is also asbestos material on the site.
Tá an tine chnámh buailte ar fhostáisiún leictreachais, áfach, a bhfuil Ospidéal an Royal Victoria agus Ospidéal Chathair Bhéal Feirste ag brath air, agus tá ábhar aispeiste ar an suíomh chomh maith.
The loyalists say they have covered the substation with a large sheet of steel and that they have spread thick tarpaulin over the area where the asbestos is.
Deir na dílseoirí go bhfuil an fostáisiún folaithe acu le leathán mór cruach agus go bhfuil taról tiubh leata anuas acu ar an áit a bhfuil an aispeist.
It is not clear, however, that either of these two things is sufficient as protection against the heat of the fire.
Ní léir, ámh, gur leor ceachtar den dá rud sin mar chosaint ar theas na tine.
Earlier, police said it was a serious matter and indicated that they were in discussions with local community groups, politicians and various agencies in the hope of resolving the dispute.
Níos túisce, dúirt na póilíní gur scéal tromchúiseach a bhí ann agus thug siad le fios go raibh siad i mbun comhráite le grúpaí pobail áitiúla, le polaiteoirí agus le gníomhaireachtaí éagsúla le súil réiteach a fháil ar an aighneas.
