In 2013 An Indiana man named Michael Barnett and his wife Kristine Barnett were accused of abandoning their adopted daughter in an apartment alone before “fleeing” to Canada. But now they are speaking out against the allegations and claiming that their “daughter” is not only a “sociopath” but also a “con artist”. Michael and Kristine took to media outlets to declare their innocence, saying they thought they were adopting a  6-year-old girl, named Natalia from Ukraine back in 2010. But what they ended up with was a 22 year old woman who was bent on harming the Barnetts and their three children.
