Brenda J. and Karen B. sit down with Dr. Andrew J. Bauman, a licensed mental health counselor and founder of the Christian Counseling Center: For Sexual Health and Trauma, to discuss his book Safe Church: How to Guard Against Sexism and Abuse in Christian Communities. In this episode, Andrew talks about scripture taken out of context regarding women and the church. They give some examples of women that were abused in churches and what men can do to bring positive change. They also discuss the characteristics of a safe church and what needs to be implemented to protect the safety of its members.
