Dena Schlosser is an American woman from Plano, Texas, whose 2004 crime shocked the nation when she killed her 10-month-old daughter, Margaret, by cutting off the child's arms with a kitchen knife during a religious psychotic episode. Schlosser, who had a history of severe mental illness including postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder with psychotic features, had been under investigation by Texas Child Protective Services, and was briefly barred from caring for her children unsupervised before the murder.
