We were in the lash industry for 12 years before we got any recognition in the beauty industry, and it took us 14 years before we got asked to speak at a lash conference...and it was our own lash conference that we spoke at. I've been talking to lash artists lately who have shared with me that they feel unseen...not important to anyone in our industry...and they are doing some cool things. Sadly for some of them, they have decided to blame the system. They think they are overlooked because of how they look or because their follower account on Instagram is not very large. In today's episode, we share our journey in how we went from being totally ignored by the lash industry for years to where we have a substantial podcast and get asked to be part of many lash events over the last 2 years. We were, at times, bitter during that 14-year journey because we felt we were doing some cool things. but no one cared. It hurt.
