John Paul II begins this Audience, “Let us recall the words of the Sermon on the Mount to which we are turning in this present cycle of our Wednesday reflections. “You have heard”—says the Lord, “that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you: Whoever looks at a woman to desire her, (in a reductive way) has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matt 5:27-28).

“You shall not commit adultery”… we know the law…but Jesus knows the human heart. He searches each human heart for He seeks an intimacy with us!
