Professor Williams gives examples of how progressives and Democrats lost touch with working class voters, and explains how MAGA Republicans utilize class warfare to win elections. Her book is a guide on how progressives can build a multi-racial and class-conscious movement to achieve progressive goals. And she doesn't sugarcoat how Democrats' embrace of failed neoliberal policies lost working class voters in Michigan and the country.
