There is little research to guide our practice with this unique population, but my guest this week is changing that!
In this episode of SYP, I have a conversation with Jessica Salley Riccardi, PhD, CCC-SLP, about her research in the pediatric TBI population. Jessica is the principal investigator of the BEaR Lab (Brain Injury, Education, and Rehabilitation) and gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the questions they're seeking answers to, how this affects clinical practice, and how it might change policy in the future. She shares insightful info that SLPs can directly apply to their work today as well as considerations for the future work we have yet to do! Jessica has a deep passion and excitement for this population and shares her expertise in a way that is not only easy to understand, but that will also leave you excited to get back to your pediatric patients!
