On this episode, we decide to take a break from all of the pressing topics to cover some things that are fortunately, not too serious.

We have reason to believe that Chris may be a vampire.

Scott provides us with a list of places to not go on a first date (it's not our list).

In the wake of the latest mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine and the typical media-fueled blame game that regularly follows, we are joined by our good friend and regular contributor, certified clinical psychologist, Dr. Jennifer Prohaska, to provide some line-level perspective on this topic.

We attempt to dissect some of the reasons for the perceived repeated failures of the well-intended, yet often counterproductive and outdated legal, medical and political responses provided by many of the current constructs that exist to help prevent these types of on-going threats.

If you ask police officers what they fear most about the job, they'll likely tell you, "Having to work the police desk."

To civilians, this fear may seem quite unexpected and perhaps even irrational, but after listening to this episode you'll understand why it takes a special breed to tolerate this necessary, front-line work.

We're joined by a familiar guest, Carrie Ferguson, to discuss her extensive experience serving as a desk officer for both large and smaller police agencies and what you should expect when contacting the police desk near you.

The world can be a scary place and we’re often more comfortable with the social media distractions than the realities of the threats that we all face.

On this episode, we discuss how recent world events should no longer remain abstract issues to Americans-  particularly for those that work in Public Safety.

The horrific events in Israel are a clarion call for all of us to put aside our differences, to  remain vigilant and to recommit ourselves to protecting our nation and fellow citizens.

In the sex trade, it's been long said that "prostitution is the oldest known profession" and that "pimpin' ain't easy."  However, both modern-day technology and mindset has definitely added to the demands placed upon its victims while making it much easier for traffickers.

On this episode we're joined by a retired 25 year police veteran and domestic sex trafficking expert, Heidi Chance of A Chance For Awareness. You’ll hear that Heidi is tireless in her mission to increase awareness and combat all aspects of sex trafficking in the United States.

If you'd like a sex trafficking indicator list sent to your email from A Chance For Awareness, please text, "awareness" to 33777.

Do you wish you had a boss that had the guts to just tell it like it is?

On this episode, Scott and Shaun are joined by recently retired veteran Seattle Police Lieutenant Jessica Taylor, to discuss her now infamous retirement letter sent directly to Seattle’s Chief of Police.

You’ll find Jessica to be a most unique and entertaining guest that provides us with a blunt assessment of the political and public safety climate in the Seattle and how that motivated her to author perhaps the most blistering "Dear John" letter ever written.
