How far would you go to survive? This week on 3 Guys and a Flick, we’re taking on one of Stephen King’s most haunting stories as we review The Long Walk, the long-awaited film adaptation directed by Francis Lawrence.

Along the way, we discuss the film’s most shocking and emotional moments, debate what the ending really means, examine the creative decisions behind the adaptation, and reveal our final ratings. Whether you’re a lifelong Stephen King fan or just experienced The Long Walk for the first time, there’s plenty to unpack.

Take the walk… if you think you can keep up.

This week, 3 Guys and a Flick pulls up a chair, breaks out the duct tape, and dives into the 1997 crime thriller Suicide Kings. Four rich young guys think kidnapping a retired mob boss is the smart way to save a missing sister and collect a ransom. Unfortunately for them, Christopher Walken is not the kind of guy you tie to a chair and walk away from clean.

Don, Jon, and Ken break down this 90s cocktail of crime, bad decisions, dark comedy, and gangster cool. They talk Walken’s quiet menace, Denis Leary’s scene-stealing chaos, the movie’s slick style, its “play dumb games, win dumb prizes” energy, and an ending that may have needed a little more time in the trunk.

There’s trivia, spoilers, questionable plans, severed fingers, and plenty of debate over whether Suicide Kings is an underrated cult crime flick or a ransom note that never quite gets paid off.

Pack your raincoat, surrender your sidearm, and whatever you do… don’t go to the lighthouse.

This week, 3 Guys and a Flick travel into Martin Scorsese’s psychological thriller Shutter Island, where nothing is what it seems, everyone is hiding something, and Leonardo DiCaprio may or may not be the only sane person on the island. Don, Ken, and Jon break down the film’s twisted plot, debate Leo’s performance as Teddy Daniels, praise Ben Kingsley’s eerie calm, and dig into the haunting visuals, unsettling needle-drop score, and all the clues hiding in plain sight.

The Guys also explore the movie’s big themes, identity, trauma, role-play treatment, conspiracy, and the gut-punch question at the center of the ending: does Andrew Laeddis choose sanity, or does Teddy Daniels choose escape?

Plus, listener voicemails, trivia, final ratings, and enough paranoia to make you question whether this podcast is real or just part of an elaborate therapy session.

So watch the cliffs and join us at Ashecliffe Hospital for the Criminally Insane as we review Shutter Island.

This week, 3 Guys in a Flick are reporting for duty with Goldfinger, the 1964 Bond classic where Sean Connery fully locks into 007 mode and the franchise formula turns to solid gold.

From Shirley Bassey’s unforgettable theme song to the Aston Martin DB5, Oddjob’s deadly hat, Goldfinger’s over-the-top villainy, and the legendary Fort Knox finale, the guys break down why this film became the blueprint for generations of Bond movies. They discuss the film’s massive blockbuster impact, Guy Hamilton’s influence on the Bond/Q dynamic, standout performances from Connery, Gert Frobe, Honor Blackman, and Harold Sakata, and whether the movie still earns its golden reputation today.

Expect spoilers, trivia, gadgets, gold paint, questionable villain decisions, pacing debates, and plenty of shaken-not-stirred banter as Don, John, and Ken take aim at one of the most iconic entries in the James Bond franchise.

n this week’s episode, we’re reviewing Bad Words, the 2014 dark comedy where Jason Bateman plays Guy Trilby — a bitter, foul-mouthed adult man who finds a loophole in the rules and crashes a national spelling bee like the world’s angriest eighth grader. Why? Revenge, abandonment issues, and apparently a deep need to emotionally scar children one word at a time.

We dig into Bateman’s directorial debut, the movie’s uncomfortable humor, Catherine Hahn’s chaotic journalist energy, Rohan Chand’s surprisingly delightful performance as Chaitanya, and whether Guy’s tiny little redemption arc is enough to make him lovable… or just slightly less awful. Along the way, we talk spelling bee trauma, bad parenting, wildly inappropriate jokes, questionable hotel room decisions, and why this movie somehow manages to be cringeworthy, funny, mean-spirited, and oddly heartfelt all at once.

So grab your flashcards, lower your moral standards, and whatever you do…just don’t look at us.

This week we’re grabbing our crowns, polishing our tap shoes, and heading to Mount Rose, Minnesota, for a review of Drop Dead Gorgeous, the 1999 dark comedy mockumentary where a teen beauty pageant turns into sabotage, scandal, suspicious accidents, and small-town chaos.

Don, Jon, and Ken talk about the film’s stacked cast, including Kirsten Dunst, Kirstie Alley, Allison Janney, Ellen Barkin, Denise Richards, Brittany Murphy, Amy Adams, and Will Sasso. They dig into the mockumentary style, over-the-top Minnesota accents, cult classic status, and whether the comedy still works today. From exploding threshers and “bad wiring” to pageant politics, creepy judges, and Allison Janney stealing scenes, the guys break down the good, the bad, and the absurd before wrapping things up with trivia, plenty of banter, and their final ratings.

You remind me of the babe! This week on 3 Guys and a Flick, we enter Jim Henson’s strange, musical, puppet-filled fantasy world as we review the 1986 cult classic Labyrinth.

This episode takes us through Sarah’s journey to rescue baby Toby from David Bowie’s mesmerizing Goblin King, Jareth. Along the way, we talk Bowie’s unforgettable presence, Jennifer Connelly’s early performance, Henson’s ambitious puppetry, the movie’s darker coming-of-age themes, the soundtrack, the creepy factor, the Bog of Eternal Stench, and whether nostalgia does a lot of heavy lifting for this beloved fantasy film.

Is Labyrinth a magical cult classic, an awkward 80s fever dream, or a technically impressive movie trapped somewhere between kids’ film and adult fantasy? Grab your crystal balls, watch out for helping hands, and join us as we review the good, the bad, and the absurd.
