The Carolina Hurricanes hold the 29th overall pick in the upcoming 2025 NHL Entry Draft, which is being held in Los Angeles, CA, on June 27 and 28. The Hurricanes traded out of the first round in 2024, however, they did select Bradly Nadeau 30th overall in 2023. That said, will they keep the pick or trade it away? On the Tuesday Edition of Locked On Hurricanes, host Zach Martin gives three possible players the Hurricanes could select at 29th overall if they do keep their pick. Firstly, he shares his thoughts on Chicago, IL native Cole McKinney of the US National Team Development Program, who is committed to the University of Michigan for the 2025-26 season. Secondly, he will look at McKinney's teammate, Jack Murtagh, who will be going to Boston University this fall. Finally, Zach shares his thoughts on the possibility of Swedish center Milton Gastrin being selected by the Hurricanes. Gastrin is set to play for MoDo of the Swedish hockey league in 2025-26.
