      🔹 English Dialogue

Alex: Hey Jamie, thanks for your message. I’m still catching up on emails from the holidays.

Jamie: No worries. I figured things would be busy after the break.

Alex: Yeah, quite a bit came in while we were off. I wanted to let you know I’ve seen your request.

Jamie: That’s good to hear. Do you think you’ll be able to work on it today?

Alex: I’ll start reviewing it today, but I also have a few urgent tasks ahead of it.

Jamie: Got it. When do you think you can get back to me?

Alex: This will be my top priority today once I finish those urgent items.

      Jamie: That sounds reasonable.

Alex: I’ll send you an update by the end of the day, even if it’s just a quick status check.

Jamie: Perfect. Thanks for letting me know.

      Jamie:

      Jamie:

      Jamie:

      Jamie:

      Jamie:

        💬 Dialogue

Ben: So… new year already. Any New Year’s resolutions?

Amy: Kind of. I have some goals, but nothing too serious.

        Ben: Like what?

Amy: I want to build better habits. Eat better, sleep earlier… you know.

        Ben: Sounds reasonable. Gym too?

Amy: Yeah, I signed up. Not sure how long I’ll actually go.

Ben: Same here. I always start strong in January.

Amy: And slowly give up by February?

Ben: Exactly. What about learning English or saving money?

Amy: Both are on my list. I’m just trying to be more consistent.

        Ben: That already sounds ambitious.

Amy: I’m keeping my plans realistic this year.

        Ben: Probably a smart move.

Amy: Or I’m just lowering my expectations.

        Amy:

        Ben:

        Ben:

        Amy:

        Ben:

        Amy:

        Ben:

        Amy:

        Ben:

        Amy:

        Ben:

        Amy:

          Emma (Procurement Manager):

Since we’re approaching the end of the fiscal year, we need to finalize our software purchases as soon as possible.

          David (IT Manager):

I agree. I’ve compared three vendors, and their pricing structures are quite different.

          Emma:

Which option fits our remaining budget best?

          David:

Vendor B offers a volume discount, but their delivery timeline is longer than expected.

          Emma:

That could be a problem. We need deployment before the end of December.

          David:

Vendor A can deliver immediately, but their quotation exceeds our budget.

          Emma:

Have you tried negotiating a year-end discount?

          David:

Yes. They’re willing to lower the price if we sign a two-year contract.

          Emma:

That sounds reasonable. Does the package include customer support?

          David:

Yes, support is included, which adds value to the offer.

          Emma:

Alright. Please request a revised quotation in writing.

          David:

I’ll contact the vendor today and confirm the delivery schedule.

          中文翻譯

          Emma(採購經理):

          由於會計年度快要結束了,我們需要盡快敲定軟體的採購事項。

          David(IT 經理):

          我同意。我已經比較過三家供應商,他們的價格結構差異滿大的。

          Emma:

          哪一個選項最符合我們目前剩餘的預算?

          David:

          供應商 B 提供了數量折扣,但交貨時程比預期來得長。

          Emma:

          那可能會有問題。我們需要在十二月底前完成系統上線。

          David:

          供應商 A 可以立即交付,但他們的報價超出我們的預算。

          Emma:

          你有嘗試談看看年底折扣嗎?

          David:

          有。他們表示如果我們簽兩年合約,就願意降低價格。

          Emma:

          聽起來還算合理。這個方案有包含客戶支援嗎?

          David:

          有,技術支援是包含在內的,這也提高了整體方案的價值。

          Emma:

          好,那請他們提供一份修正後的書面報價。

          David:

          我今天就會聯絡供應商,並確認交貨時程。

Alex: I’m okay overall. Nothing serious, I think.

Doctor: Any health problems you’re worried about right now?

Alex: Not really. I just feel tired sometimes.

Doctor: How about your lifestyle? Do you exercise much?

Alex: Honestly, not much. I sit a lot at work.

Doctor: Yeah, that’s pretty common. Even light exercise helps.

            Alex: Like walking?

Doctor: Exactly. About 20 to 30 minutes a day is good.

            Alex: Okay, that sounds doable.

            Doctor: And how’s your diet?

Alex: I try to eat healthy, but I eat out a lot.

Doctor: That’s fine. Just try to be a bit careful.

            Alex: Got it.

                English Dialogue

Sarah: Hey Mark, have you finalized the destination for our business trip next month?

Mark: Not yet. The client wants us to visit either Chicago or Dallas. Which one do you think we should prioritize?

Sarah: Probably Chicago. Their team requested an in-person meeting. Have you checked the flight options?

Mark: Yes, I checked this morning. The fares went up again. We should probably book soon before the seats sell out.

Sarah: Agreed. Do you want to review the flight schedules together?

Mark: Sure. I also want to compare airlines — some include Wi-Fi and extra baggage, which might be useful for the presentation equipment.

Sarah: Good thinking. What about traveling from the 8th to the 11th? That seems like the smoothest itinerary.

Mark: Works for me. Do you prefer a morning departure or something later?

Sarah: Morning is fine. I’d like to arrive early and prepare before meeting the client.

Mark: Same here. Let’s check availability. If the seats are still open, we should book today.

Sarah: Great. I’ll pull up the booking site now. Hopefully the prices haven’t increased again.

Mark: Yeah, business travel in January is always busy.

                  English Dialogue

Sophie: Hey Mark, quick question—are the Q4 expense reports on track?

Mark: Almost. Two teams still haven’t submitted their final numbers.

Sophie: Understood. We need the final numbers by Friday so we can finish the year-end summary.

Mark: Operations told me this morning they’re still reviewing several invoices.

Sophie: That figures. The recent currency fluctuations slowed everyone down.

Mark: True. Want me to follow up again this afternoon?

Sophie: Yes, please. Even a preliminary version today would help.

Mark: Sure thing. How about HR’s data?

Sophie: Already received. They’re always the most organized.

Mark: Great. Once we have everything, I’ll combine the files and send you a draft.

Sophie: Perfect. Let’s aim to wrap up the summary before the weekend.

                      🔹 English Dialogue

Kevin: Sorry, I didn’t mean to be late. Can I come in?

Ms. Lin: Kevin, what’s your excuse this time?

Kevin: Have I already used the one that my sister is sick?

Ms. Lin: Yes, twice last month.

Kevin: Are you sure? I thought I said it was my grandma.

Ms. Lin: I don’t think so, but it could have been.

Kevin: Well, you can trust me this time. My sister is definitely sick. I just came from the hospital.

Ms. Lin: Honestly, it sounds a bit suspicious.

Kevin: I know it does, but I swear I’m telling the truth.

Ms. Lin: I still don’t completely buy your story, but I’ll let it go this time.

Kevin: Thank you. I’ll try to be more punctual in the future.

Ms. Lin: Good. I put my trust in you. Don’t let me down again.

Stylist: Good morning! What can I do for you today?

Emma: Good morning. I’m attending an event tonight, and I’d like a more sophisticated hairstyle.

Stylist: Sure! How would you like your hair styled?

Emma: I prefer a deep side part with a low sleek bun.

Stylist: Sounds elegant! Would you like your bangs trimmed as well?

Emma: Yes, just a little. Please keep the shape natural.

Stylist: No problem. Do you want to add some highlights to brighten your look?

Emma: That sounds nice. Maybe some pastel pink highlights?

Stylist: Great choice! This color is very popular among K-pop fans lately.

Emma: Love that! And could you also thin out the volume a bit?

Stylist: Of course. Anything else before we start?

Emma: That’s all. I’m excited to see the final look!

                          Dialogue – English

Ben: Hey Ariel, do you have a moment? I need some help with this table.

Ariel: I’d love to help, but I’m really swamped right now.

Ben: It’s just a quick favor, I promise.

Ariel: The thing is, I have a few tasks with strict deadlines today.

Ben: Oh, I see. Maybe you can take a look later?

Ariel: I’ll check if I can squeeze it in and get back to you.

Manager: Ariel, can you prepare a short update for the afternoon meeting?

Ariel: I’m concerned I might not keep up with everything I’m handling right now.

Manager: Could you at least write the main points?

Ariel: I can try, but I don’t want to rush and produce something incomplete.

Manager: That makes sense. I’ll assign it to someone else.

                          Ariel: Thanks for your understanding.
