The coterie met Michael Arden, an unconventional Tremere who claimed to be sent by the magic to help bring down the Pyramid. Although Val could corroborate enough of his story to quell her own suspicions, and Evangeline trusted Doris’s ability to compel the truth out of him, Everett remained doubtful. But when the sheriff agreed to let Doris compel him to understand what it felt like, the experience left him disturbed. Could Michael be a Pyramid ploy?
