Co-Parenting with Confidence

36. The Great Expectations

Listen Later

Mikki talks about expectations. Every day we consciously and unconsciously set expectations for ourselves and other people. We paint a picture in our minds of what SHOULD be happening. This is all good until the other people or the circumstances of life fail to meet that picture in our mind. When that picture isn't met in real life, we feel disappointed, resentful and that can lead to shame and anger.

Mikki walks us through the process of peeling back the layers of our expectations so that we can become aware of our unexpressed, unexamined ones and create healthy ones instead.

If you are ready to explore what expectations you might have that are holding you back … then join me for a free workshop I am hosting Monday, June 27th at 2pm Eastern. In this expectations workshop we are going to take a deep dive into the process of examining and releasing the harmful expectations and then creating healthy expectations that serve you.
