The first Full Moon of the year is on Monday, January 13. This Full Moon is in Cancer. Cancer is all about home, family, and emotions. 

This full moon encourages us to focus on our spiritual and emotional health and create a sense of security in our homes. This means our actual home. How you can cozy up your home and make it feel more comforting and secure? It also refers to our bodies, our soul’s home. What would make you feel safer this year, so you don’t get out of balance?

The Moon loves to be in Cancer. There’s lots of comforting, cozy, energy with it there. But there are also some tenser energies with this moon because of the presence of both Mars and Eris.

Mars Retrograde helps us focus on what we are choosing to give our time and energy to. You may realize that some of the ways you’ve been doing things or beliefs you’ve had need to be updated. 

Eris, is known as the Goddess of Discord and Strife and is the sister of Mars. Eris sees what is old, broken, and outdated so it can be healed, fixed, or released.

Eris and Mars together under this Full Moon create some erratic energy. But they are helping us upgrade and update our lives and beliefs so we’re prepared for all the changes coming this year.  

One of the most powerful messages of this Full Moon offers is to let the old ways go. Let go of old, outdated patterns that drain and deplete you and make way for a new, more aligned way of being. There’s a lot of internal recalibrations going on. This is big work and it’s an inside job.
