This week is packed with big, energetic shifts starting right away on Monday with the Strawberry Full Moon and Mercury going retrograde almost at the same time. The next day, Jupiter moves into Leo, bringing a surge of confidence and creativity for the year ahead. And by the end of the week, we reach a rare and intense Mars-Uranus conjunction on July 4th that really sets the tone for change and breakthrough energy.

The Strawberry Full Moon is the first full moon of summer and the last micro moon of the year, meaning it will appear a little smaller and lower in the sky. This is a natural midyear checkpoint, a moment to pause, reflect, and take stock of how far you’ve come.

Mercury is also going retrograde in Cancer, which tends to pull our attention inward. It can bring up old memories, old conversations, or feelings we thought we were done with. It’s really less about moving forward and more about noticing what’s still emotionally active for us, so we can understand it in a new way.

Then the energy shifts quickly as Jupiter enters Leo, opening a year of expanded confidence, creativity, and self-expression. This is a reminder to reconnect with your joy and your inner spark. Think back to 2014 and 2015 for clues about what may be reawakening now, both personally and creatively.

One of the strongest themes running through the whole week is nostalgia. We’re being asked to remember who we’ve been, reconnect with what once lit us up, and bring those forgotten parts of ourselves forward again. And then we reach the peak of the week with the Mars - Uranus conjunction in Gemini on the 4th of July. This is rare and fast-moving energy that can bring sudden insights, breakthroughs, and shifts in direction. 

So overall, this week is a mix of reflection, renewal, and rapid change. We’re remembering, reawakening, and reinventing all at the same time. Stay open, stay flexible, and notice what begins to shift because this is one of those weeks where things can move quickly in a very new direction.

This week brings one of the most uplifting energy shifts of the year as we welcome a Super New Moon in Gemini and Chiron's move into Taurus.

The Gemini New Moon encourages us to slow down, have some fun, and reconnect with the joy of being alive. This is not a week for overthinking, making major decisions, or trying to figure everything out. Instead, we're invited to spend time with friends, enjoy good conversations, stay open to new perspectives, and remember that life is meant to be experienced, not just managed.

I also explore the fascinating Sabian Symbol for this New Moon: "Children skating over a frozen village pond." This symbol reminds us that we don't have to wait for life to be perfect before we allow ourselves to enjoy it. Joy is available now, even in challenging times.

Adding to the energy, Mercury is slowing down as we enter the pre shadow phase of the upcoming Mercury Retrograde. This encourages us to slow our pace, be more present, and give ourselves permission to take a breath before the busy months ahead.

The biggest astrological event of the week happens on June 19 when Chiron, the Wounded Healer, moves into Taurus for the first time since 1983. Chiron has spent the last eight years in Aries helping us heal issues around identity, confidence, and self expression.
