悲觀 bēiguān – pessimistic; having a negative outlook

一致 yízhì – consistent; in agreement; uniform

內側前額葉皮質 nèicè qián’é yè pízhì – medial prefrontal cortex 

腦波 nǎobō – brainwave; electrical activity in the brain

聚焦 jùjiāo – to focus; to concentrate (on something)

分散 fēnsàn – to scatter; to disperse; to spread out

樂觀收斂 lèguān shōuliǎn – optimism convergence (a research term describing how optimistic people’s brain activity converges when imagining the future)

想開一點 xiǎng kāi yìdiǎn – to think more positively; to not take things too seriously; to let go of worries
