Welcome back to the kitchen table. Bethany would tell her younger self that she sets the temperature in her home. The connection, the peace, the love—it all starts with her.

God began to show her that the way she responded, the way she spoke, and the patience she extended shaped the atmosphere her family lived in. 1 Peter 4:8-11 reminded her to love deeply and serve faithfully, but she hadn’t always realized that started within her own walls.

She would remind her younger self to seek peace, even when it felt hard. To pause and ask—would I speak to someone else’s child this way? To remember that connection changes everything. When she strengthened the bonds in her home, everything else followed.

This truth changed everything. And she’d want her younger self to know—it’s never too late to start.
