It was a huge weekend at Mosaic Stadium, especially for Joel Gasson and John Fraser, as local Saskatchewan craft beer finally made it's way to Rider games.
Oh, the Riders also won their third straight game and now sit second in the west division. The Riders have just one game left in theird six game western stretch, with that in mind, Joel and John discuss where the team is at and what we've learned about them over this stretch.
While thing are starting to look up for the green and white, the Bombers may have exposed a couple of weaknesses despite the win. Most notably, the lack of a true middle linebacker and short yardage offence.
Across the league, they examine a potential curse. This season, just four teams ranked second in the 3DownNation power rankings have won, not including bye weeks. It's only happened once since the fifth week of the season. So, Joel completely rips of Sportsnet's Tim and Sid and asks the question, is this a super stat or a meaningless number?

It's a big week in the CFL as the season hits the mid-way point with rivalry games set to take place across the league over the Labout Day long weekend.
For the Riders, it's a familiar match up with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. This year, there's plenty on the line with both teams basically tied in the standings right now, but currently heading in opposite directions. The Riders are coming off two big wins that have them chasing down a home playoff date once again, while the Bombers are looking for answers after some losses. How the next two weeks go, could go along way in determining how the standings play out in the West.
With that in mind, it's a different 3Down Green Cast this week as Joel Gasson goes between two Johns with his usual co-host John Fraser and 3DownNation's and Blue Bomber Talk podcast co-host John Hodge to break down the game.
Can the Rider offence finally move the ball against a Bomber defence that has yet to find it's form? How will the Bomber offence fair against the Riders defence? Is John Hodge drinking a beer? Can Joel tell the Johns apart? The answer to these questions and more!

There's now less than 100 days until the Grey Cup in Edmonton and people across the CFL community are getting ready by going outside and working out. Joel Gasson and John Fraser, well, they have other ideas. They're looking for 100 days of gluteny before the Grey Cup and want your help. What should the challenge be? Share your ideas with them on Twitter.
In actual football talk, Joel and John share their thoughts on the Riders impressive win over the Calgary Stampeders. They also ask the question, is this for real? We've seen the Riders fall flat after winning a game they weren't supposed to before.
Finally, the tables have turned this week as it's Joel who has an axe to grind against people who don't like the Diversity is Strength campaign.

Well, that was a few days.
Joel Gasson and John Fraser discuss what turned out to be a very eventful weekend and start to the new week in Riderville. Starting with the release of Duron Carter, which still has people talking across Saskatchewan and even the country. Was it the right move? Could it have been handled better?
If that wasn't enough, Rob Bagg is back! Except, what should have been a field good story seems to be getting weirder by the minute and is leaving more questions than answers.
In the end, all of this revolves around a theme that has followed this team all season, does Chris Jones wear too many hats? Can he adequately do all of his jobs?

Joel Gasson decided to let John Fraser return to the 3Down Green Cast for Pile O'Bones Brewing this week after last week's guest host Justin Dunk violated the show's rules by drinking a smoothie during recording.
This week, Joel and John discuss proper hot dog condiments (it is a bye-week afterall) after a tweet from the one and only fakeGainer got CFL Twitter going. If there's one thing CFL Twitter loves, it's a good food debate. Joel also shares his thoughts on ketchup, which John thinks might be the hottest take on the show yet.
In actual football stuff, Joel and John talk about just how good the Rider defence is, how the offence cost them that game in Edmonton. They also share their thoughts on the reported signing of defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy and Chris Jones appearing at a work out with recent pro-football hall of fame inductee Terrell Owens.

Up next for the Riders is a huge stretch of games against the west starting this weekend against the Calgary Stampeders. Where does the team stand? Will this stretch define their season?

John Fraser returns from a week in the middle of no where as he and Joel Gasson discuss the Riders win over the Hamilton Ticats. There's no mystery as to how they won that game. The defence. Why? They were able to adapt with more blitzes and moving Duron Carter to a matchup that works for him.
Offensively, well there's still lots of work to be done. John finally gets to rant about Carter on defence, which is now affecting the offence more than anything. As for the quarterbacks? Just pick one!
In their weekly look around the league, Joel and John talk about Matt Nichols return in Winnipeg and the beginning of the James Franklin era in Toronto.
