Monsignor Brian Bransfield is a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, ordained in 1994. He serves as the General Secretary of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in Washington, D.C. Prior to his service at the USCCB, Msgr. Bransfield served as a Professor of Moral Theology on the faculty of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia. He has also served in parish ministry, and as a high-school faculty member teaching freshman and senior theology. He is an adjunct Instructor at School of Canon Law at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. His articles have appeared in America Magazine, Our Sunday Visitor Newsweekly and Catechetical Leader, a publication of the National Conference of Catechetical Leadership. He is the author of The Human Person: According to John Paul II (June 2010); Living the Beatitudes: A Journey to Life in Christ (Pauline, 2011); From Guilt to Gift: A Catholic Guide to Overcoming Internet Pornography (Paulist, 2013); Meeting Jesus Christ: Meditations on the Word (Pauline, 2013), and Life Everlasting: The Mystery and the Promise(Pauline, 2015). He is the co-author, with Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, of Gift of Joy: The Blessing of the Child in the Womb (OSV, 2013).
