Miami's in the College Football Playoff baby!!... well, okay, not really yet... but hey, there's nothing like some good old fashioned false hope to get the Miami fan base riled up! But we start with everyone's wild week, including the plane that crashed in Scoop's neighborhood (yes, that Coral Springs plane crash in the news) and how insane it was to be directly impacted by such a big disaster. Beyond that we jump right into Miami's latest College Football Playoff ranking, coming in at #15 but the 11 seed as the top positioned ACC team. And everyone tries to figure out just how Miami can make the Playoff and somehow leap an ACC Champion.
Scoop isn't buying the Playoff hype on Miam's playoff hopes, but Roman has faith that Miami is going to run the table and make it this season. And the sudden burst of offensive creativity makes everyone question whether the team heard the fans' outcries for diversity, and whether they can use that to continue to build momentum. Plus it was nice to see the ACC go after Notre Dame on their timeline and actually have Miami's back.
We also reflect on Pat Narduzzi's comments this week about "losing by 100 to Notre Dame" and how he wouldn't care because it isn't an ACC game... which makes absolutely NO sense. And it's hard for anyone to believe the LSU story regarding Brian Kelly, and how he was never "officially" fired, which is just bonkers. And we all drop our Three Keys to the game, including watching NC State's running back, limiting their quarterback, starting fast and getting more Pringle in the mix early.
And as we close it out this week we touch on Mike McDanieal trolling Bills fans at the Elbo Room, Antonio Brown's legal trouble as he was arrested in Dubai and extradited to Florida, and a big round of Pick 'Ems as we hit Week 12, including our official picks for the Miami vs NC State game.
