In the early morning hours of April 12, 1981, in the small failing resort town of Keddie, California, a 14-year old-girl returns home from a sleepover at a neighbor's house to find her mother, brother and his friend all horrifically bludgeoned and strangled to death in the living room. Her two other brothers and their friend were found in bedroom, alive and asleep, totally unaware of the horrible slayings which took place the night before, just a few feet away from them. Before long, it's discovered that Tina, Sheila's 12 year old sister, has vanished from the crime scene without a trace.
Former police officer Kendra Jrama breaks down this disturbing case which inspired the films "The Strangers" and "Cabin 28" as part of the month-long theme of true crime cases which inspired Halloween horror movies
