Labor wants people with super balances over $3 million to pay more tax.
That is because the system exists to encourage, and to some extent require, you to save more for your own retirement because the Government can’t afford to help you.
Executive Chairman of Yellow Brick Road Home Loans Mark Bouris told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "The problem is this will sneak through because most young people do not think about their super."
"It's not even a thought, it gets taken out every week, they never see it."
"They never think about the day they're going to retire, but they better start thinking about it because everybody in this country deserves to retire comfortably."
"Comfortably means you've got to have the most amount of money as possible in your superannuation."
"If you want to retire comfortably, you deserve to pay the same rate of tax as your parents and your grandparents did," Mr Bouris said.
