January 05, 2025'Only just a start': Bruce Highway set to get a $7.2 billion boostPrime Minister Anthony Albanese will today travel to Queensland where he will pledge to feed $7.2 billion of investment into fixing the Bruce Highway, which will lift the entire 1673km stretch of road to a minimum three-star safety rating. There have been 43 deaths on the major road this year - far above the five-year average of 31.
