On the fifth episode of My Favorite Album, host Jeremy Dylan is joined by guitarist, songwriter and legendary Australian producer Mark Moffatt and, whose credits include The Saints, Divinyls, Tim Finn, Yothu Yindi and Jasmine Rae - and as house producer at Festival Records. They discuss the British blues classic ‘Blues Breakers’ by John Mayall and Eric Clapton, also known as ‘The Beano Album’.

 

Along the way, they breakdown classic tracks including What’d I Say, All My Love and Ramblin On My Mind, discuss Clapton’s influence on Mark and other guitarists, the difference between rock and rock’n’roll, Mark’s early days living in England and John Mayall’s multi-tasking.

 Jeremy Dylan is a filmmaker from Sydney, Australia who has worked in the music industry since 2007. He has directed the feature film Benjamin Sniddlegrass and the Cauldron of Penguins and the feature music documentary Jim Lauderdale: The King of Broken Hearts, in addition to many commercials and music videos.
