In their first episode of 2024, The Sweats conclude their Millennial Nostalgia Saga series with their third installment where they discuss their favorite movies they grew up watching in the 90s and early 2000s! Ryan kicks things off by talking entirely too long about Free Willy, and shamelessly shares a story that involves a young, hopeful Ryan, a dock overlooking the bay, and a harmonica. Chris reminisces on the iconic film, The Sandlot, the impression it made on him growing up, and some of the memorable lines and scenes from the movie. Derick discusses the classic Disney flick, A Goofy Movie, as he details the moment he rediscovered his love for the movie while watching it with Ryan about five years ago. In addition to these classics, the guys talk about other bangers (including a few "DCOMs") such as Air Bud, The Iron Giant, Space Jam, The Luck of the Irish, Johnny Tsunami, Smart House, Motocrossed, Stepsister from Planet Weird, Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire, and Godzilla (1998). Let us know in the comments of any other gems from the 90s and early 2000s that we missed!
