Welcome back to another sweaty episode of the 5 O'Clock Sweats Podcast!

In this week's episode, The Sweats welcome back the one and only Mike, aka LumberjackSamurai, for another must-watch episode as an honorary Sweat. The guys kick off the episode by asking Mike about what some of his favorite games to play and stream were in 2023 which, unfortunately, didn't include Starfield, but did include indie games like The Expanse and Dave the Diver and old reliables such as Escape from Tarkov, Valorant and Apex Legends. The Sweats then shift the discussion towards games Mike and them are currently playing such as The Finals, Palworld, and Call of Duty Warzone. The guys also look back at the literal scam of a game that was The Day Before, which Mike did purchase but luckily got reimbursed for. 

The Sweats end the episode with Mike outlining some plans for his YouTube channel and stream in 2024, which include some ideas for music-related content, long-form YouTube videos and.....a possible Tarkov hot tub stream??? Welcome back to another sweaty episode of the 5 O'Clock Sweats Podcast!

Or did it pull a Game of Thrones and stumble across the finish line? The guys also talk about the watch party Ryan hosted, which included "titan serum" polynesian sauce syringes for chicken nuggets and Derick bringing a bag of potatoes to honor one of his favorite characters. Ryan also discusses the interesting difference in fan reaction to the manga ending versus the anime ending.

Watch and listen as Ryan, Chris and Derick list their biggest frustrations, including the idiotic play calling, questionable coaching changes, inconsistent quarterback play, and the Swiss cheese defense. The guys also go around and try to pinpoint the moment where the season truly started to spiral out of control. Was it the 49ers game? Or was this team doomed from the beginning despite their great, but shaky 10-1 start? One of the answers might surprise you…

The Sweats end their Eagles therapy session by asking the question of whether or not they would bring back Nick Sirianni as the head coach, or pursue top candidates such as Bill Belichick or Mike Vrabel. (Keep in mind this episode was recorded before the playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so their opinions are probably a little different now after that disaster of a game.)

In their first episode of 2024, The Sweats conclude their Millennial Nostalgia Saga series with their third installment where they discuss their favorite movies they grew up watching in the 90s and early 2000s! Ryan kicks things off by talking entirely too long about Free Willy, and shamelessly shares a story that involves a young, hopeful Ryan, a dock overlooking the bay, and a harmonica. Chris reminisces on the iconic film, The Sandlot, the impression it made on him growing up, and some of the memorable lines and scenes from the movie. Derick discusses the classic Disney flick, A Goofy Movie, as he details  the moment he rediscovered his love for the movie while watching it with Ryan about five years ago. In addition to these classics, the guys talk about other bangers (including a few "DCOMs") such as Air Bud, The Iron Giant, Space Jam, The Luck of the Irish, Johnny Tsunami, Smart House, Motocrossed, Stepsister from Planet Weird, Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire, and Godzilla (1998). Welcome back to another sweaty episode of the 5 O'Clock Sweats Podcast!   In this week's episode, The Sweats catch each other up on what they've been up to and discuss some other things that are on their minds! Ryan elects to rant about his fantasy football team's recent struggles and gushes over the cinematic masterpiece that is Godzilla: Minus One while imploring anyone who will listen to go see it ASAP (seriously, it's THAT good). Chris describes his experience playing Warzone 3 and goes into detail about his thoughts regarding the new map, improved movement, and the overall sandbox. The guys also have a brief discussion on Fortnite's new "Fortnite Festival" mode, which is basically their version of Rock Band, with Ryan sharing how his aging thumbs struggled to keep up on medium difficulty. Derick talks about all the anime he's watched recently, which includes shows like Fruits Basket, K-ON!. Jujutsu Kaisen, and Spy x Family. Derick also talks about successfully completing his Christmas movie homework assignment by discussing his experiences watching Christmas with the Kranks and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
