Pati Umaga is a Pacific disability advocate who sits on a number of boards and advisory groups advocating for the recognition of persons living with a disability.  Accessibility to information and support are among a range of issues that have been raised due to the pandemic and lock down.

Henrietta Hunkin Tagaloa is a Relationship Manager at Tu Ora Compass Health which is a primary health organisation working in Kāpiti, Porirua, Wellington and Wairarapa.

Community testing facilities have been established in areas where they can best meet the needs of the local community.  These community based assessment centres or CBACs are spread out across the country.

Niue resident Bill Vakaafi Motufoou was part of the first group who were quarantined from the flight on the 18th of March.  He shares their experience with Ete and the lengths people in Niue are taking to social distance even if there are no confirmed cases. 

Niue is one of few islands that remain COVID-19 free and is part of the Realm of New Zealand.  The Niue Government decided to close its borders to protect the population of less than 2000 people and minimize risk of COVID-19 reaching its shores.  At the moment only Niue residents can return home with the understanding that they go into a mandatory two week isolation period.

Ali Leota is the current National President of Tauira Pasifika, the voice of Pasifika students in tertiary education, where he is currently mobilizing Pasifika students across Aotearoa New Zealand.  A recent graduate of Whitireia and Manukau Institute of Technology; Ali is now pursing further education at Victoria University of Wellington.

A voice and heart for the community, Ane Nuku Karika is a volunteer Maori warden in the community of Mangere. Her passion and love is for helping the community. She expresses how she wants to let the community know that there is help for you and your families and you do not need to "struggle silently". 

The Maori wardens assist around the areas of taking care of our elders , youth , food , health issues , and making sure the community is safe. 

"Aroha Ki Te Tangata" is a motto Ane and her team live by which means, the love for people not matter what race , status or nationality they are all here willing to help. Ane also expresses how she wants the community to not be afraid of reaching out It is  OK not to be OK.
