#59: Finding Stability in Times of Change (Leadership Skills to Prevent Burnout)

Almost every aspect of our lives has changed since the COVID-19 pandemic began.  

It’s easy to see that the struggle with all that change is real, isn’t it?   

The truth is it’s not the change people are struggling with; it’s the loss or lack of stability.   

In this episode, we explore a unique combination of strategies that you may or may not realize can help you find or create some stability in your life.   

While the changes may lessen over time, change will never fully disappear or go away.  You might not have realized yet that you need both stability and change in your life and that’s why it’s essential to strengthen or create stability in the midst of all this change.  We talk about how the tension between change and stability shows up and how to use it to your advantage. 

The Dali Lama says, “Open your arms to change but don’t let go of your values”.  In the episode we talk about how values provide an anchor during times of change that keeps you from drifting or being swept away the currents of change. 

Another strategy we discuss that can help with creating stability in your life is to set goals.  Yes, you can set goals during times of chaos and crisis!  We talk about re-evaluating and restructuring goals to align with current realities as a method for creating some stability. 

Just imagine if you could begin to thrive and not just survive during this time!  It is possible!
