THIS IS AN ANNA WITH 2Ns EPISODE BEFORE I REBRANDED TO CONFIDENT BUSINESS ENGLISH. I RECOMMEND STARTING WITH THE MOST RECENT CONFIDENT BUSINESS ENGLISH EPISODES.
Following on from my episode last week breaking down phrasal verbs in English, this week I start with a selection of 4 Advanced English phrasal verbs with the preposition Across.
As I said in the last episode, it is important to put phrasal verbs in groups that make sense to help you remember them well.
ACROSS fits in two key categories of meaning which are Finding and Communication. I cover 4 phrasal verbs including; come across (econtrarse), to stumble across (encontrarse), to come across (dar la impresión) & to get across (hacer entender).
Firstly I put each phrasal verb in context with sentences then I give you common collocations and how to use the phrasal verb technically i.e is it inseparable/separable and transitive/intransitive.
I hope you enjoy this episode and that it sheds some light and clarity on these phrasal verbs which are often difficult for students to understand.
