636 It Is Not For You to Know God's Timeline, A Guided Christian Meditation on Acts 1:7-9 with the Recenter With Christ app

The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in your life and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ.

Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization.

NIV 7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." 9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. ESV 7 He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." 9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. Meditation on Scripture:

It is clear that when we become believers our desires and preferences do not dethrone God's. Many times we have genuine questions about God's timing and those questions are not answered in the way we would wonder. In fact the more we feel we should understand the more confusion we can feel.

Nowhere is this more focused than the coming of the Kingdom of God. Scholars and believer's throughout the centuries have wondered and pondered and tried to crack the code of the times and seasons of God but Gods timing remains his own.

The follow on theme here is that God does not give to us to decipher his timing. That does not mean we sit as passive observers in God's work. The Holy Spirit is meant to empower us to do the part that is our own. To witness of Jesus Christ. This is where God wants us to spend our focus.

Pray as directed by the Spirit.

Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him.
