Kiyotaka Katsuta was one of, if not, Japan's most prolific serial killer. For exactly a decade, Kiyotaka would sneak into the homes of both men and women, strangle them or shoot them, rob them of a small sum of cash, and escape. Due to these crimes spanning all around the country, and no specific victim profile, Japanese police failed to connect the dots. Kiyotaka was caught due to his cockiness, confidence and his belief that, well, he would never be captured. Serial killers are all around us, and they span from East Coast to West Coast. Atlantic to Pacific. Europe to Asia, and everywhere in between. They're present in every country and every culture, and they're just as, if not, more terrifying than those we learn about here in the United States.
