"Marley was dead to begin with…" and what a beginning. Who knew a ghost story would be associated with the merriest time of the year? For their seasonal selection, Courtney and Emily are joined by guest reader Dr. Paul Cote to analyze Charles Dickens' classic, "A Christmas Carol". The tale has been adapted for the stage since its publication in 1843, with film and tv adaptations to follow. Disney has three Christmas Carols for audiences to enjoy. First, in 1983 with the short film Mickey's Christmas Carol, then nearly 10 years later as a partnership with The Jim Henson Company in 1992 and most recently in 2009 as a motion capture animation starring Jim Carrey. Fly with Courtney, Emily, and Paul over London through Christmas films past to discuss all three in comparison to the original text, and in the words of Tiny Tim, "God bless us everyone."
