    We are one step closer to banning wheel clampers, a Bill outlawing the practice in WA has gone through the Upper House. 
    City of Stirling Mayor Mark Irwin championed this legislation and told 6PR Breakfast too many people are still being caught out by wheel-clampers.

  • Whispering wall at Matagarup Bridge
    The Matagarup Bridge is set to open its flying fox attraction early next year, but while the workers continue with the construction, a sound phenomenon has been discovered. 
    If you stand on the East Perth side of the Swan River embankment, you can catch the workers' conversation from the top of the footbridge, which is over 70m high. 
    Dr Karl Kruszelnicki explained how the sound phenomenon can work and says it's worth doing a science experiment in the area.

  • Phil Marks - Belmont wants to ban fake turf
    Artificial turf has been banned in the City of Belmont.
    A number of other cities have already banned the fake grass due to it heating up faster than natural lawn and keeps an area warmer for longer.
    City of Belmont Mayor Phil Marks says it's an environmental issue as well.
    "We're trying desperately to get people to move more towards the environmental outcome where grass is ok, we're happy with grass, also maybe gardens," Marks told 6PR Breakfast.
