  • School principal says going 'half-back' is not an option for teachers
Scotch College principal Dr Alec O'Connell says it would be too much to ask for teachers to go back to work with half of their students in class and half online.
There is speculation around whether or not schools should be reopened for the beginning of term two on April 27.
Dr O'Connell says the way term one finished was an ideal situation.
"We were delivering the curriculum online," he said.
"There was a reason for going to that model at the end of the term, you would want to be convinced things have changed drastically to go back.
"The other problem is if you go half back - say half the students in each class - teachers simply cannot be expected to deliver lessons in school and to students online who are not there."
