Rabbi Avraham Yitzchok Levene ZT'L was the Rav of the Lower Merion Synagogue in Philadelphia for many years. The Rav was known for his loving style and the joy he brought to so many. Having been heavily influenced by his paternal grandfather, Rabbi Arye Levin ZT'L, and many other great men and women of the previous generation, he approached chinuch using a method of love and joy. In this episode, his talmid, the host, shares his personal experiences with Rabbi Levene ZT’L and how his approach has influenced so many people. The host Rabbi Yerachmiel Garfield Ed.D. is the Head of School of the rapidly growing Yeshiva Torat Emet in Houston Texas. He has previously served as a mesivta rebbe, assistant menahel, school counselor and adjunct professor at Johns Hopkin University. In addition, he has written on chinuch topics for national publications, educational journals, and has presented multiple workshops.
