ERIK WEIHENMAYER is the first blind person to ever summit Mount Everest, he's also climbed the rest of the 7 summits. He's led an expedition taking 6 blind children up a 7,000m mountain, discovered an ice palace, climbed El Capitan, ice-climbed up a frozen waterfall, parachuted, paraglided, sky-dived, he's kayaked down the Grand Canyon, including Lava Falls. He founded a non-profit organisation called No Barriers that has gone on to help and inspire thousands of people around the world. He's written books too, the most recent being No Barriers, which is a wonderful read.
