Terms: 

Study is the direction of our thoughts in ways that enlarge the range and number of our ideas.

Meditation is the direction of our thoughts in ways that help us come to understand the things we already know.

 

Book recommendations

Study Martin Luther, St. Augustine (The Confessions, The City of God) or St. Paul ( A Man in Christ , by James S. Stewart).

Read books by people like St. Ignatius, Polycarp, and Tertullian.

Read books on the lives of people like John Wesley or more recent Christians like Billy Sunday.
