About Dr. Anita Gulmiri
Dr. Anita Gulmiri earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry and went on to pursue a Residency in Cornea/Contact lens following graduation. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the New England College of Optometry (NECO) and serves as the Residency Supervisor for NECO’s Cornea and Contact Lens residency program. Dr. Gulmiri understands she has a major role to play in myopia management and thus this passion has led to her playing a key role in growing NECO’s Myopia Control Clinic. Dr. Gulmiri specializes in designing and fitting orthokeratology lenses as well as managing medically necessary specialty contact lens designs for those patients suffering from irregular corneal and ocular surface disease. Dr. Gulmiri is extremely passionate about providing these specialty contact lens services to her patients and equally as passionate about teaching the future generation of optometrists in her role as clinical instructor, preceptor and mentor for second, third and fourth year NECO students and NECO’s Cornea/CL residents.
