In this episode, Alex MacPhail  speaks to Mike Stopforth  about his time in the Pipe Band and competing at the Pipe Band World Championships in Scotland. This later evolved into a rock band and his life on stage, teaching, entertaining, and training began in his early 20s.

Mike shares his horrifying story about when he was out skateboarding with his friends. He saw a light aircraft crash into his friend’s vehicle right before his eyes, and while he was frozen with panic another friend rushed in and started pulling people out of the wreckage. Alex and Mike talk about this startling effect, how it's relevant in aviation and how pilots are trained to manage this, and how it relates to real life and whether this could be a developed skill. 

Mike Stopforth is also a successful digital pioneer, an entrepreneur, start-up investor, and the founder and director of the consulting firm Beyond Binary. He has built, developed, led multiple teams, and businesses. He is a global public speaker and his area of expertise is digital transformation.
